Preparing S.V. Arrested for the trip

“Arrested” was built in 1980 and is a Vanderstadt 30 cruiser-racer built by Jupiter Yachts in Guernsey.
She is a fin-keel masthead sloop, loosely based on the half-ton racing yachts of the era.
I bought her in January 2026 in poor shape after two years abandoned. Much of the early season was spent making her safe to sail, and during the latter part of the season she was put through her paces on a number of Irish coastal trips, performing well and building up a sizeable “snagging list” to be tackled over the winter.
