The Journeyman Voyage

S.V. Arrested · Jupiter 30 · Spring and summer 2027

In 2027 I’m sailing my own boat, S.V. Arrested, from my home port of New Ross to La Roche-Bernard in Brittany. The route takes me through Wales, along the south coast of England and home to Essex, where I learned to sail as a boy, before I cross to France. I’ll be playing in harbour towns all the way.

Passage log

I sail solo, so I plan every passage at under 15 hours, at an average of 5 knots. I’ll leave New Ross from mid-April on the first good weather window. Each date window runs from my earliest likely arrival to a later date that allows one spare weather day for every three passages.

Play on my route

Run a pub, club, bar or venue near one of these ports? I offer an acoustic show or the Journeyman classic rock show. Get in touch with your town and a rough date, and I’ll fit a gig around the tides.

Dates move with the weather. Gigs are best booked for the second night in port, so a one-day delay doesn’t cost the booking.
